For law firm admins
Stand up your firm, choose a plan, invite attorneys, and let your team start posting cases.
What you'll do
By the end of this page, you'll have a firm organization created on Kalivar, a plan selected, and attorneys invited and onboarding into your firm.
Before you start
- Authority to enter into a subscription on the firm's behalf.
- A list of attorney email addresses to invite.
- A payment method for billing — or a billing contact and PO process for invoiced Enterprise plans (net terms, not card-charged).
Step-by-step
-
Sign up with your work email and confirm the verification email.
-
On the role gate, choose the Law firm card. You'll be asked whether you also practice — if you don't, the rest of onboarding skips the attorney credentials and About-you steps.
If you also want to practice
As an administrator you don't post cases yourself. If you'd also like to practice on the platform, opt into the attorney path during onboarding so you keep admin permissions and a practitioner profile.
-
Create the firm. Kalivar pre-creates the organization with a placeholder name so the next step can bind billing to it; you'll rename it on the profile step.
-
Choose a plan tier:
- PRO — monthly subscription with included case volume.
- ENTERPRISE — invoiced (net terms), per-org pricing, custom limits.
No PAYG for firms
Pay-as-you-go is reserved for solo attorneys. Firm organizations choose between Pro and Enterprise.
-
Complete the firm profile: firm name, address, and the billing contact who should receive invoices and receipts.
-
Invite members from the firm's organization settings. Enter each attorney's email; they'll get an invitation link.
-
Members accept and complete attorney onboarding themselves. They'll see the gate, choose Attorney, and finish the credentials and About-you steps.
-
Confirm members can create cases. Once they finish onboarding, every case they post bills against the firm's plan — there are no per-attorney invoices.
Tips
- Moving from Pro to Enterprise involves a quote from your account manager — Enterprise is per-org pricing and invoiced on net terms, not card-charged.
- Per-org pricing is set during Enterprise setup; talk to Kalivar before signing.
- Pro includes bundled case volume; if your firm consistently exceeds it, that's the signal to consider Enterprise.
- Removing a member ends their access to firm cases but does not delete the cases they posted.
